How To Make The Most of Your Epcot Experience

 Choose Your Disney Park

When a person decides to take a trip to Walt Disney World, the next decision after planning would be to choose which parks to attend and on which days you plan to go to each. One of my favorite Disney parks to spend my time in, while I'm on vacation, is Epcot. This park is full of excitement, adventure and culture.

What Is There To Do?

Unlike the other Walt Disney World theme parks, Epcot isn't mainly based off of it's children rides and themes. Although there are many different attractions throughout the park, the main attraction is the World Showcase! In this area of the park, different cultures and nations from around the globe are represented through their authentic shops, music and foods.
The main thing that all should keep in mind when they spend a day in Disney's Epcot is that, even though there are many rides throughout the park, this park is meant for guests to experience more than just the thrill of rides, but the experience of a global adventure through many different locations and countries.

Rides:

Despite being a park full of cultures, Epcot is a great park to experience many magical rides based less on the Disney movies and more on the environment or the future. Through rides like Test Track and Spaceship Earth, guests are shown how different minds can have different impacts on the future. The interaction through the rides and queue lines reflect into the ride and show how we can all make a difference in the future. Rated, by the Disney Tourist Blog, as some of the best Epcot rides these two rides shouldn't be passed up (https://www.disneytouristblog.com/best-epcot-attractions-ride-guide/).
When it comes to nature, the two rides in the park that you absolutely cannot skip out on include Soarin' Around The World and Living With The Land. These two rides show the guests the importance of the beauty of nature. Though they may be a little slower than rides like Rockin Roller Coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios, these rides are hard to beat!
The final category of rides within Epcot are those that represent the different cultures. These rides include those such as Frozen Ever After, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and The Three Caballeros. Although these rides may be silly and movie based, they also represent the different cultures that they movies were based on and give both children and adults a fun new way to experience the World Showcase!
Don't avoid Epcot because of their lack of rides! Embrace the fun and adventure that awaits with the rides and activities that it does have to offer!

Events:

Being a park filled with culture, nature, and adventure, it is no surprise that Epcot is the home of some of the most amazing Walt Disney World events throughout the year! With events such as the Festival of The Arts, Flower and Garden Festival, Food and Wine Festival and International Festival of The Holidays it is easy to tell why so many guests are drawn to this park throughout the year.
During these times of year, and the festivals which take place, guests have the chance to experience the beauty of life and the wonders of culture. For more on these festivals, visit https://www.mousehacking.com/blog/epcot-festival-calendar-and-tips.
One event that happens throughout the year, no matter the festival would be Epcot's Harmonious fireworks display, which is shown almost every night and takes place in the middle of the lagoon within the World Showcase. This being said, it doesn't matter what area of the Showcase you are in, you will get to experience the fantastic display of lights!

Showcase:

As mentioned above, the World Showcase is a portion of Disney's Epcot that focuses on the celebration of nationality and bringing the world together in harmony. With this mission, Walt Disney World uses the World Showcase as a way of bringing culture to all of it's guests.
The first way of bringing each culture to the park guests is through the beautiful and cultural scenery in each nations area of the Showcase. Each nation is represented architecturally in either a modern or more ancient standpoint. This causes each guest to feel engulfed in the culture as soon as they enter that area.
The park also brings culture into each nation's area by introducing authentic foods from different parts of the world. From French bakeries to Japanese steak houses, this park has it all. One of my favorite things to do while visiting the World Showcase in Epcot is to "eat around the world." This idea consists of trying one or more new treats from each culture in order to experience the tastes of the world.
As you take your trip to Walt Disney World's Epcot, make sure to spend quality time within the World showcase. Eat around the World. Take in the scenery. Become engaged in the culture around you. only then will you truly feel your adventure take place.

Although Epcot is a well known Disney park, don't focus too much on what rides it has to offer! Take some time to enjoy the scenes and appreciate the small world that we live in. By doing this, I can promise you a trip that you will remember for a lifetime!
